The novelist Benito Pérez Galdós, a regular visitor to Santander, wrote the following about El Sardinero: "All the luxury here, has been organised by Nature".
Paseo de Reina Victoria is a beautiful area that runs parallel to the beaches. It is a prime example of the Santander’s marked elegance and aristocratic style, which provides a constant blend of nature, sea and beauty.
